Our HSE Commitment

We shall look after ourselves.

We shall look after the people around us.

We shall look after the world around us.

MB-Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy

We at MB Petroleum are committed to conduct our business in a manner that protects the health and safety of our employees, contractors and society at large and protect the environment where we operate.

We believe that a good HSE performance is paramount to our business success and we shall manage HSE matters like any other critical business activity.

We are committed to promote a culture in which all employees realize the need to look after themselves, the people around them and the environment they live in.

MB HSE Management System

Health, Safety and the Environment have always been strong and valued aspects of MB Petroleum's operations.

MB Petroleum has built a sustainable HSE Culture through visible management commitment, increasing our employees HSE awareness, analyzing all identified hazards, improving the competence of our staff, and strengthening our preventative maintenance programs. MB Petroleum is continually striving to improve its HSE performance. Our ultimate goal is to have a healthy workforce with zero fatalities, zero LTI's, zero rollovers, zero equipment damage and zero environmental impact.

HSE in MB Petroleum is the operational line's responsibility, with each individual taking ownership and accountability for his/her actions. We at MB Petroleum are proud of the fact that we do have a policy of empowering our staff to stop work if unsafe. The Oil and Gas industry is not a risk free working environment, this is why we need to be proactive to either eliminate or control the hazards. We maintain high safety standards through our flagship Safe Track System. The Safe Track system is a hazard observation tool designed to help our workforce identify risky behavior and unsafe conditions. It provides management with eyes, in all our operations, through our work force.

We empower all employees

Not to start work unless they believe it is safe to do so and to stop any work if they believe it is unsafe.

MB Petroleum has a policy to develop and promote staff with potential from within the organization. The Group linked up with an international training institute to tailor a safety leadership course to develop MB supervisors' abilities to adequately lead their teams and improve safety performance, quality and productivity.

A new Production Services Department is Born

To answer the ever increasing call for Multi Phase metering and boosting services, MB Production Services has created a new service department: MPT.

MB Rig 01 completed a record of 4 LTI free years. The milestone became possible because of the excellent supervision, dedication and commitment of the Rig crew and the support and encouragement of the head office. The achievement also underlined the fact that the MB group's motto Safety First was no empty slogan but a living reality, a way of life and a way of doing business.
